Meet XPG’s First Wireless Mouse
The FPS Review recently took a look at the XPG ALPHA, the first wireless gaming mouse the company has released. XPG chose PixArt’s energy efficient PAW-3335 sensor to increase battery life while still being able to provide from 100 to 16,000 DPI and a 1000 Hz polling rate for both wired and wireless usage. It also sports three different RGB lighting zones for you to play with, as well as 100% PTFE feet for when you actually use it.
The XPG PRIME software is quite comprehensive, allowing you to adjust the colour and behaviour of the lighting, as well as recording macros to be able to trigger them when needed. What it doesn’t have is a battery indicator, which is certainly a lack on a wireless mouse, however you can set the mouse to start pulsing red when it detects low battery levels. You can adjust when that warning starts, anywhere between 5% to 25%.
