It’s A Z $700 Board
The current generation of motherboards come with impressive price tags, regardless if you are shopping for AMD or Intel. The MSI MEG Z790 ACE DDR5 is no exception to this, it’s $700 price tag is lower than the Godlike but almost twice the price of other DDR4 based Z790s. That cost is due in part to the power system, it sports a Duet Rail Power System with 24+1+2 and 105A VRM design. That should keep a power hungry Raptor Lake satisfied in just about any foreseeable scenario.
The board also offers you five M.2 slots and three PCIe 16x slots of which one is PCIe 5.0, no short slots on the MSI MEG Z790 ACE at all. On the backplate are a fine selection of options, including two Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and two 2.5GbE ports as well as an assortment of older USB and mini-DP.
As for the performance, Guru3D describes it as “one of the fastest platforms we have used with the 13900K“. If you are willing to foot the price, MSI’s MEG Z790 ACE won’t disappoint.
