TechPowerUp’s testing showed this unit has amazing power delivery, it handled loads of up to 2000W while still remaining at 43 °C, and it didn’t shut down with a 3200 W transient load. While that is good, it also suggests the overpower protection might be set a bit high for a long lifespan, though the 10 year warranty should reassure you somewhat.
The other downside was that in order to maintain such comfortable temperatures, the fan produced over 50 dBA at full load. On the other hand, if you need that much power, then the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1650W PSU is certainly up to the task.
